Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This Policy describes what information PromptCine handles when you visit the site, use Free Prompts, create a paid account, purchase Pro or contact support. We have written it to explain our actual purposes in plain language.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

PromptCine is an individual / sole proprietorship owned and operated by Sandeep Vishwanath Vaykar, at Indira Nagar, Kopargaon – 423601, District Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. For personal data whose purposes and means we determine, the proprietor operating PromptCine is the responsible business (and, where applicable under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Data Fiduciary).

Our designated Grievance Officer is Sandeep Vaykar (full name: Sandeep Vishwanath Vaykar). For privacy questions, complaints, requests or escalation, email info@promptcine.com or call +91 9158645808.

2. What information do we handle?

A. Free browsing. You can browse and manually copy Free Prompts without signing up. Technical systems may still process limited information needed to load and secure the site—such as an IP address, browser or device characteristics, requested URLs, time of access and security logs. This is not the same as requiring visitors to create a paid account.

B. Account/profile information. For an account, the core profile fields are your name, email address and profile picture (where provided by the account/sign-in system). To operate an account, we also need an internal account identifier, subscription validity, plan status and, where appropriate, prompt-copy counters and basic account-security information.

C. Payment/subscription records. Razorpay and the relevant payment-system participants process your payment. PromptCine may receive limited data needed to match a payment to an account and maintain the plan—such as the transaction or subscription ID, plan, amount, payment status, billing date, renewal/cancellation status and related support reference. This is distinct from storing your full payment credentials.

D. Support and complaints. If you contact us, we handle the information you choose to share, which may include your name, email address, account issue, message and limited billing reference.

E. Cookies and local storage. Essential storage may be used for sign-in, security, preferences or locally saved items if the relevant feature is enabled. Any non-essential analytics, advertising or tracking technologies must be accurately described and handled in accordance with applicable law; this Policy is not a representation that particular optional trackers are currently active.

3. We do not store your secret payment credentials

PromptCine does not collect or save your UPI PIN, card CVV, bank-login password or OTP in its application database. We do not intend to store full card numbers. Payment credentials and payment authorization are handled by Razorpay and participating financial institutions under their own applicable terms and safeguards.

For clarity, this does not mean PromptCine knows nothing about payments: limited transaction references, payment status and subscription records are needed to deliver access and respond to billing questions.

4. Why we process information

We use relevant information to make the website work; authenticate and maintain paid accounts; activate Pro entitlements; enforce the daily Pro copy limit where applicable; administer one-time purchases and authorized recurring plans; reconcile charges and process permitted refunds; respond to support, correction or deletion requests; prevent fraud and security abuse; and satisfy legally required accounting, payment or recordkeeping duties.

We do not use the name, email or profile picture you provide for an unrelated new purpose without taking the steps, including any appropriate new consent, required by applicable law.

5. Consent and choices

Where consent is the relevant basis for processing, we will seek a clear and informed indication of your choice for the specific purpose. You can contact us to ask about withdrawing consent or ending account-related processing where permitted by law. Withdrawing consent to one activity does not automatically undo a completed transaction or erase records that we are required to retain.

India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the notified DPDP Rules, 2025 have phased commencement dates. We will apply the relevant requirements, including notice, rights and security obligations, as and when they come into force and apply to PromptCine.

6. Your photographs and other AI inputs

In the usual PromptCine workflow, you copy a text prompt and separately paste it into an external AI tool. If you upload a photograph directly to that tool, the third-party provider receives that upload, not PromptCine merely because you used our prompt. Please review the provider’s privacy policy before uploading any image, especially an image of another person.

If PromptCine later adds a feature that accepts photo uploads on our own website, we will update our disclosures before processing those inputs as required.

7. Who helps us run the service?

We use or may use vendors supporting hosting, content management, network security, database storage, authentication, payments and email/support. Depending on the deployed implementation, these services may include Vercel, Cloudflare, MongoDB Atlas, WordPress-related infrastructure and Razorpay. Other authentication or analytics providers must be named or otherwise accurately disclosed if they are used.

Service providers receive or process only the information appropriate to their role and are subject to applicable contractual and legal protections. Payment providers may also process certain information for their own regulatory and fraud-prevention duties. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect users and the service from unlawful activity.

We do not sell or rent your name, email address or profile picture to data brokers for their independent advertising purposes.

8. How long we keep data

Active paid account: We retain the account profile and the operational information needed to provide your valid subscription.

After Pro expires: We intend to keep the account’s name, email address and profile picture for up to two consecutive years without another paid plan. If no new paid plan is taken during this period, those core profile fields are scheduled for automatic deletion from the active account system. A subsequent qualifying purchase resets the inactivity period.

Separate legally justified records: Limited transaction, tax/accounting, security, incident, complaint, dispute or legally required information may be retained for a longer or different period where the law requires or permits it. These records are not treated as an active user profile solely because they still exist. Backup and processor deletion schedules also need to be managed appropriately.

This two-year inactive-profile rule is PromptCine’s own account policy, not a claim that the DPDP Act universally requires a two-year retention period.

You can request earlier account deletion at info@promptcine.com; we will consider the request under applicable law and explain any records that must remain.

9. Security

We aim to apply reasonable organizational and technical safeguards, such as HTTPS, restricted administrative access, secure account authentication, access controls, appropriate encryption or masking, security monitoring, backups and procedures to investigate suspicious activity. No online system can guarantee perfect security.

Never send a support representative an OTP, UPI PIN, card CVV or banking password. Keep control of the email or sign-in method used for your account.

10. Data breaches

If we identify an incident affecting personal data, we will investigate, take steps to contain and mitigate it, and make notifications to affected persons or authorities to the extent and within the timelines required by applicable law at that time.

11. Your privacy rights and requests

You may contact us to request information about your account; correction or updating of inaccurate profile details; deletion or closure; withdrawal of consent where relevant; or help with a privacy complaint. Statutory rights under the DPDP Act apply according to the law’s commencement and applicability.

Please email info@promptcine.com with the subject “Privacy Request”, preferably from the address linked to your account. To protect the account, we may ask for reasonable verification but will not ask for your PIN, CVV or banking password.

Where applicable, you may also approach the competent data-protection authority after following the available grievance process, subject to the procedures prescribed by law.

12. Children’s information

Pro registration and paid subscriptions are restricted to individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not offer children an option to purchase Pro through parental consent. If we learn that a paid account was created by someone under 18, we will review the account, restrict paid access as appropriate and handle the associated information in accordance with applicable law. Please tell our Grievance Officer if you believe this has happened.

Free content may be visible without an account; nevertheless, website technical processing and any child-specific features must comply with applicable child-data requirements. We will not intentionally carry out targeted advertising directed at children based on their personal data.

13. International service providers

Some providers may host or process data outside India. Where Indian law imposes requirements or restrictions on transfers outside India, we will follow them. We will seek appropriate contractual and security arrangements for outsourced processing.
